Idea management integration with Atlassian’s Jira Cloud allows users to join the dots between innovation and project delivery

London, United Kingdom. 27 October 2020 – Idea management software and services firm Wazoku has announced a new integration with Atlassian’s Jira Cloud, that will see Wazoku’s platform embedded into Jira, allowing users to join the dots between collaborative ideas and project delivery.

The end-to-end integration will see Wazoku’s Idea Management platform work in harness with the world’s most widely-used enterprise project management tool. Users can connect their Jira projects directly to their Wazoku challenges (the Wazoku term for an innovation call for ideas). This means that ideas within Jira can move upstream, be given clarity and be prioritised against a specific pain point, and ideas within Wazoku can be passed seamlessly to a Jira project for development and delivery.

“With a more distributed workforce, the use of both idea management and project management tools has increased hugely in 2020,” said Simon Hill, CEO, Wazoku. “But for users, switching between tools can be time consuming and frustrating, which is why we are integrating Wazoku deeply into the applications that people use the most. This is two best in class tools doing what they do best, project management and innovation working hand-in-hand to deliver higher engagement and create more value.”

“As users of Jira in-house at Wazoku we are already seeing the benefits of engaging a diverse audience to help us develop new features, drive new innovation or enhance the features and functionality already live. Through the combination of Wazoku and Jira we are able to manage this from start to finish for internal and external ideas, prioritising the best ones, making it easy to check the progress of an idea and bring them to life efficiently with a single record across the life-cycle of that idea.”

Atlassian has invested heavily in AI and recently unveiled a range of new AI-based features for Jira, highlighting its own commitment to innovation. Wazoku’s enterprise grade software is built to integrate with a suite of enterprise tools and platforms, providing low friction user adoption and seamless data and user flows cross platform. Further enterprise integrations are set to follow later in Q4 2020 and Q1 2021.

Wazoku works with some of the world’s biggest organisations, including Novartis, NASA, Enel, Barclays, John Lewis & Partners and many others, helping those organizations capture innovations. Earlier in 2020, Wazoku acquired InnoCentive and its global network of almost 500,000 expert problem ‘Solvers’, creating the world’s most comprehensive and powerful innovation platform and global Solver community.

“For any integration to be successful, it needs to be meaningful and work seamlessly with the other technology – that’s what we have enabled with Jira,” concluded Simon Hill, Wazoku. “Collaboration is at the heart of Wazoku and is also integral to successful project management, so we want to make collaboration easier and more natural for our users.”
