Change Logic was founded in 2007 by Professors Michael Tushman  (Harvard Business School) and Charles O'Reilly  (Stanford Graduate School of Business),  Andrew Binns (Managing Principal), and Peter Finkelstein, M.D. (director emeritus).

The firm was born from the team's shared experience helping leaders and organizations adapt to a changing world. The founders created the firm because they believed they have a unique perspective on what it takes to do this well, one that combines the best in strategic and organizational thinking with an ability to apply it with real people working in businesses around the globe.

Change Logic defines clients' most important problems and opportunities. They help each client find and build a solution collaboratively to generate results.

Stephen Shapiro

Stephen Shapiro cultivates innovation by showing leaders and their teams how to approach, tackle and solve their business challenges. Applying the knowledge he has accrued over decades in the industry, Stephen is able to see what others can't: opportunities to improve innovation models and the cultures that support them.

The first innovation opportunity Stephen spotted was the opportunity to innovate within his own life. Halfway through his 15-year tenure at Accenture, while co-leading the company's business process reengineering practice (focused on business efficiency), he realized he no longer wanted to be responsible for people losing their jobs. So he did exactly the opposite by building Accenture's thriving 20,000-person process and innovation practice focused on growth and job creation.

In 2001, after publishing his first book, 24/7 Innovation, Stephen left Accenture to become a full-time innovation speaker and advisor to clients around the world. Since then he has published four more books – Goal-Free Living (2006), The Little Book of Big Innovation Ideas (2007), Personality Poker (2010) and Best Practices are Stupid (2011) — and spoken to audiences in 50 different countries. His sixth book, Invisible Solutions, was published March 3rd, 2020.

John Winsor

John is currently the executive-in-residence at Harvard Business School's Laboratory for Innovation Science at Harvard (LISH), which studies AI and Workforce Transformation strategies, and founder and CEO of Open Assembly, a company that provides content, community, and strategic advising to organizations, people, and platforms to co-create the future of work.

Recently, he has been leading a global industry coalition made up 4000 global leaders in the open talent and innovation industry to start a non-profit trade association, The Center for the Transformation of Work with the goal of Transforming work for a billion people by 2025.

In his past life, John was the chief innovation officer of Havas, when Havas purchased his open advertising agency, Victors & Spoils, in 2015. Winsor founded V&S after introducing the advertising world to the practice of co-creation in his role as vice president and executive director of strategy and innovation at Crispin, Porter + Bogusky. Winsor had merged his company Radar Communications, the world's leading open strategy and research company, with CP+B back in 2007. Other companies Winsor founded include Sports & Fitness publishing, sold to Conde Nast, and the Gravity Games, sold to NBC.

Winsor's new book, “Open Talent: Leveraging the Global Crowd to Solve Your Biggest Challenges,” published by Harvard Business Press, came out in the fall of 2023.
