I broke my first bone this year and have a new found appreciation for being able to walk in London.

Meet Abi Anderson!
I spend most of the day on the phones to clients helping them set up a sustainable and scalable Idea Management programme.
Either cooking and cleaning my apartment or socialising with Wazoku employees.
I spent a summer driving around Bosnia, Serbia and Monte Negro.
Meet Abinaya Thirumalai!
I am working as QA Analyst in Wazoku. I test all the functionalities of the platform and I report bugs to make sure everything works as excepted.
I enjoy playing with my son. I love experimenting new dishes in cooking. I love to explore the world. I love travelling.
I know many Indian languages.
Meet Adam Botley!
Obviously, the first thing that’s done is to make my morning Coffee! A couple of quick meetings start the morning; one to catch up with my team on our work for the day, and another with the dev team management to make sure everyone’s on the same page. Most of the day is spent working on new features, reviewing other developers work to make sure it’s up to our high standards, and supporting junior developers with their work.
In one of Bristol’s many pubs! Always looking for the next gin or beer festival to attend. Music is a big part of the cities culture, so there’s plenty of gigs to attend in the evenings. Always looking for a chance to enjoy the beautiful scenery, Either around the city, or into south Wales.
I hate cucumber and celery.
Product Manager / Product Marketing Manager
Meet Aimee Xia!
First I’ll settle down at my desk with a cup of coffee and take a second to appreciate the fantastic view of the Thames from the office. I’ll meet with my two development teams to go over what we’re all working on for the day, and then spend some time either reviewing and prioritising features for next quarter’s roadmap or meeting with customers to understand their biggest needs and challenges. Might take a break to chat with my coworkers or grab something sweet to eat (free snacks!).
Back in Texas I used to spend a lot of time line dancing and driving on highways, but since I’ve moved to London I’ve really enjoyed exploring all corners of the city, having a pint or more at the neighbourhood pub, and dreaming about all of the food I can cook when I finally move into my own flat and have a proper kitchen.
After landing the job, I got on a plane and flew halfway across the world with no place to stay and no bed to sleep on. I ended up on a friend’s sofa for 4 weeks getting woken up every morning at half five by my roommate’s exceptionally loud and temperamental Nespresso machine.
Lead Automation Analyst
Meet Alin Timpu!
I’ve started my week with a new role so the sky is the limit, however, meanwhile, I ensure the codebase is up to date with new requests and requirements driven by our clients.
Fishing, swimming, golf, socialising … none of those 🙂
At an event I was asked to dance and in my panic and loud environment I’ve shouted that I have no legs, that got me by until I went to the bar for a drink and found her to be the waitress…
Head of Marketing
Meet Andrea Goodkind!
I run the marketing team at Wazoku – there’s no typical day! Demand gen, brand, digital, email marketing, campaigns, content creation, metrics & analysis.
Travelling, Visiting family across the pond in New York or up in Glasgow (especially if it’s rugby season), exploring London with friends, taking pictures, baking cakes, wishing for a dog!
I once adopted five Orangutans, one Giant Panda and a Wolverine.
Development Team Leader
Meet Andrew Wray!
My typical day involves leading a small development team, including planning, code review, staff training, and my own ongoing development effort. When I’m working as a developer, I am solving complex problems across the entire stack of a large codebase to facilitate ongoing feature development, and to maintain a high degree of code quality across the board.
When I’m not working, I’m either maintaining open source projects for thousands of users, performing poetry, performing songs, or probably playing video games like Conan Exiles.
I recorded and uploaded an indie folk / emo demo album in a single day back in 2017, and I plan to write more albums in the future.
Meet Andy Rankin!
I currently work on resolving errors that are visual and design-based, and that will usually have been reported by our QA team. This involves picking up the bug report, identifying the cause and then tracking down the offending code to rectify it. The important thing is to make sure that clear explanations are given for any changes made, and that those changes don’t have negative repercussions elsewhere on the site. I will later be moving on to collaborating on new design decisions and features.
In the kitchen! I love spending time expanding my repertoire; from making new components such as types of pasta (orecchiette), breads (roti) and experiments in fermentation (kimchi), to discovering new ingredients like black garlic, cascabel chillies and squid ink, to whole new dishes such as Brazilian Bacalhau a Gomes de Sa, French Tartiflette, Trinidadian Doubles and Japanese Oyakodon. Also travelling, acting, photographing, DJing, socialising, plant-growing, film-watching and game-playing.
At the age of seven I was cheated out of victory at school Sports Day in the wheelbarrow race (wheel position), when my rival was lifted off of the ground by his team-mate and carried across the finishing line ahead of me. Twenty-three years later at my University induction week I found vindication, coming fourth in the heats and first in the final, and they will never be able to take my precious trophy from me.
Meet Ayodele Fashola!
It depends… It could be a Wednesday, where I’m actively playing the role of Regression Queen. Or a Friday, where I’m delivering the worst jokes ever with my terrible punch lines. My daily tasks would be to test new features we are implementing, reporting bugs and test that bugs have been fixed. My typical day at Wazoku, revolves around this phrase: “99 little bugs in the code, 99 little bugs in the code. Take one down, patch it around 117 little bugs in the code.”
Conjuring something magical in the kitchen, listening to music at a deafening volume, spending time with friends and family, watching really dramatised sitcoms or cringe-worthy reality shows.
Apparently sometimes I subconsciously say specific words with an Irish accent.
Head of Customer Success
Meet Bea Schofield!
No day is ever the same! I am lucky enough to spend the majority of my days with our customers, which can range from planning escalation paths in a military bunker to talking about grassroots innovation in a rooftop bar in Barcelona. In between that you’l find me trying to catch up on emails, deep in conversation with Simon Hill about ‘What’s next’, or trying in earnest to make my team laugh.
As a west county lass I’m most likely to be found wild swimming, drinking cider in a field whilst listening to my favourite bank, or declaring my undying love to my dogs. My summers are oft
I think everyone who meets me knows everything about me within 5 minutes. But, in case you didn’t know, my mum is in the Guinness Book of records for having the longest surviving goldfish.
Meet Ben May!
I am the lead for the Data Science team, which is concerned with analysing client data and communicating results for internal use, and also developing, maintaining and implementing data focused features in the Idea Spotlight platform. These features fall into two main categories: (i) analytics widgets and dashboards for engaging the workforce and for helping admin users better understand and manage use of their instance of the platform and (ii) machine learning recommendation engines for surfacing relevant content to users in searches and notifications. A typical day involves meeting with colleagues to plan and communicate work on new features, and coding to implement them.

I open dialog between Wazoku and other organisations to determine if there’s any synergy for future collaboration. A typical day consists of interesting talks with Innovation Leaders and emails with potential partners.
Outside of work you will find me experimenting with different types of cuisines and flavor or… eating.
I have a photographic memory. I always win the memory games.
Business Development Representative
My typical day at Wazoku starts with a loud “”Mooorning”” and a big smile, usually followed by a clumsy move such as spilling coffee, bump into someone and so on. Once I am settled, I go over my emails, LinkedIn messages and I set my tasks to complete for the day according to parameters I have set for the week. I like to organise myself but every day has its drizzle of unpredictability and that is what I like the most, I enjoy handling a sudden change of plans or lead a last minute meeting.
You will find me shopping, cooking, cleaning or simply chilling. I like keep myself occupied but also to enjoy some “me-time” and simply follow the vibes.
1. I talk all the time, with people, by myself or with plants.
2. I amuse myself finding solutions to problems or create problems to find solutions (?!)
3. I love horoscopes and spiritual lectures, anything that involves energies, esoteric and planets movements.
4. I genuinely like to help people out.
Meet Jak Osborne!
Working with project managers and developers to design and implement our tools and features. My priority is to manage to the UI, but I’ll get my hands dirty anywhere.
On my bicycle or down the pub. Abroad whenever possible.
Both my thumbs work pretty well.
Meet Jarek Michalski!
First words I say (at least I try to) when I get to the office are: “What a lovely day”. I don’t really know what it means, but it looks like some people in the office expect me saying that (or maybe even they need to hear it). Apart from that I fix bugs and, quite often, I work on new features. Originally I worked with Python only, but now I try to use anything and most of the time I have to use TypeScript and AngularJS (that I really like now).
As I’m an ex-Amigan (ex- fan of Amiga computer) I was interested in the Amiga scene (demos). I think I’m still impressed by the effects some coders can create. I like reading and learning about those techniques used by coders to create great demo effects. Most effects now use ‘shaders’ (computed on graphics cards), but there’s a lot of old-school ones that I still like (http://demo-effects.sourceforge.net/). When I’m not learning about those demo/game effects, then I discover new programming techniques, try to understand operating system from a programmer perspective. Sometimes I write simple programs. I they need GUI then I try to use PyQt/PySide gui framework. There’s a lot more to what I sometimes do after work, but if I really want to just relax I travel across galaxies (playing games).
I’m generally boring for most people (would you like to talk about nature of mind?!) 🙂
Business Development Manager

Coached David Beckham’s kids during a football (soccer) camp in America, whilst he watched (judged) from the sidelines.
Customer Success Manager
I’m not convinced that there is one. My role is pretty varied – I may be catching up with a South African client first thing or helping a healthcare company strategise rolling out to their employees. The afternoon may include helping a law firm design a challenge to capture their employees’ preferences for topic discussion at an off-site or training site admins across the globe
for a major bank. On the days I’m in the office, the only consistent thing is my need to habitually visit the coffee machine.
I’d like to say you’ll find me doing extreme sports and crazily interesting hobbies but… you won’t. 50/50 chance I’ll be in the pub. I also enjoy cooking, playing board games, playing (and watching) sports like football and rugby and also periodically becoming an expert on a sport for the specific time-frame that a major tournament is on. This year it was cricket’s turn.
I originally moved to London to be an actor but quickly found out the industry was skewed against people without talent so instead studied law.
Customer Success Manager
Meet Kristy McKenzie!
I’d say that no one day is the same in the Customer Success team at Wazoku! I’m often meeting with clients helping them strategically understand how they can use the platform, devising challenges or helping them double down on critical areas of their innovation strategies such as facilitating Innovation Ambassadors, uncovering and understanding insights and analytics from challenges or platform-wide, or supporting them with creating solid communications plans. One of my favourite parts of my role is leading workshops and meetings with client’s innovation teams and C-suite helping them craft their idea management strategy, often driven driven by their business strategy and innovation goals. It gives me real insight into how a company operates, their internal culture and innovation readiness – which i love exploring and helping them develop!

A typical day at Wazoku is always different! Our clients are from different industries, of different size, and at different stages of their Innovation Journey. Therefore, the Customer Success Team works closely with our clients to understand their needs and help them run a Successful Idea Management Scheme. What does it mean?
