Congratulations to Eshwari Chandrashekhar who won the “Startups of Shoreditch” programming competition. The final game was played between four finalists and can be viewed on the Startups of Shoreditch website.
Entrants had to write a program to play Startups of Shoreditch, a trading game in which players accumulate resources in order to acquire the stuff their startup needs to get off the ground. But to get the resources they need the most, the players had to trade resources with each other. However, the players in the game are not people, but computer programs.
The competition ran in conjunction with the Silicon Milkroundabout recruitment event. Programmers were invited to enter the competition to show off their coding skills and be in with a chance of winning a Kindle Touch.
Runner up Alan Hollis has written a post about his experience of entering the competition, read his blog for an entrants view on how the competition went!
