Idea management software firm announces online tool for company-wide assessment of innovation maturity

Wazoku, the UK’s leading collaborative idea management software company today announced it has launched a global innovation maturity benchmark tool – the Innovation Maturity Scale. Available to all businesses including current Wazoku customers, the tool enables innovation leaders to assess their current innovation maturity, benchmark the results and identify key gaps hindering organisation-led innovation.

The company has designed the tool around five innovation maturity pillars: Strategy, Leadership, Management, Culture and Process & Tools. Wazoku CEO and founder, Simon Hill explained the reasons for the launch: “In October 2015 we released our Everyday Innovation Report as a guide for every organisation seeking to embed a high-performing culture of innovation. The Wazoku Innovation Maturity assessment is part of the toolkit for achieving this. Our premium version allows firms for the first time ever to truly benchmark themselves against a global innovation KPI.  Furthermore, they can quickly identify key improvement areas as they strive towards EveryDay Innovation in their organisations.”

Hill continued: “Through our work with some of the world’s leading businesses, we’ve identified crucial areas that require focus and these form the five areas that the Innovation Maturity Scale measures. Over the coming months we will be building in further analytical capabilities, which I believe will make the Innovation Maturity Scale a vital tool for any business either commencing an innovation programme, or looking to measure progress further ahead.”

The tool is accessed online and pools feedback from across the business with a dashboard of results at the current maturity level. Wazoku will be hosting webinars following the launch to discuss interpreting results and strengthening across the five pillars. This will provide benchmark opportunities across global offices, identification of variances in job functions and comparison within and across a range of industries.

An annual benchmark report will be published by the company from next year for cross-sector and global benchmarking.
