Wazoku is thrilled to announce its partnership with Norwegian Offshore Wind, a collaboration aimed at fostering the growth of start-ups and scale-ups, while addressing critical Challenges within the offshore wind industry. As the world’s leading Open Innovation network, Wazoku Crowd has an established track record working with renowned companies such as Enel, A2A, and General Fusion.

The NOW Accelerator, Norway’s pioneering offshore wind accelerator, is set to commence on December 14th with a digital event. This program serves as a nexus for great ideas, connecting them with industry stakeholders, mentors, partners, and investors within the offshore wind sector. Program partners include the Blåvinge consortium (Fred Olsen Seawind, Hafslund Eco, Ørsted), Equinor, Deep Wind Offshore, EDF Renewables, and many others.

The partnership with Wazoku, confirmed in London last week, positions Norway as the global hub for floating offshore wind innovation, according to Narve Hansen, Accelerator Manager at Norwegian Offshore Wind. Bringing together some 380+ industry partners in the sector with Wazoku Crowd’s 700,000+ global Solver network, the combination of insights and industry knowledge is peerless in its scope and experience.

The two-year NOW Accelerator program comprises continuous incubation activities and accelerator initiatives focused on critical industry themes, offering a comprehensive platform for participants to develop, validate, and scale their solutions. Industry partners will present Challenges that require innovative solutions, and the program aims to facilitate potential test pilot cases for companies to address significant issues in the market.

Hansen notes, “We are selecting the top companies from 14 international countries through an open application process together with our partners. The application process begins on December 14th with an introduction of the partners.”

This program combines digital and physical events and workshops orchestrated in collaboration with partners. Participants in the program gain access to a global network of industry experts, investors, corporate partners, and cutting-edge resources, including attractive start-ups and scale-ups. The program encompasses mentorship, workshops, and networking opportunities tailored to the unique needs of companies innovating in green energy.

In essence, Wazoku, in partnership with Norwegian Offshore Wind, is poised to catalyze collaboration among its expansive network of members and start-ups, addressing key challenges in the offshore wind industry and solidifying Norway’s position as the forefront of floating offshore wind innovation. We couldn’t be more excited to get started, as this shared mission aligns perfectly with Wazoku’s purpose-driven business outlook.

We hope to provide some updates soon, so keep an eye out for further announcements.
