About You

You are proactive and confident in working autonomously and are a natural leader who leads by example while getting things done. You will be detailed orientated and highly organised with a genuine interest in Quality Assurance who likes to really engage with the Product that is being tested.

You have the ability to not just implement but also document, train and upskill others. You are able to plan and develop code independently with minimal guidance while keeping all the relevant stakeholders informed about status and progress.

About the Role

Wazoku are creating a new pivotal Automation role which will have a direct impact on the success of our product releases. This is a high profile role with great opportunity for growth within the team.

The successful candidate will increase our automation coverage to a % that shifts the dynamic of how we test, ensure our tests are reliable and stable and work closely with the QA team to find issues so our customers always experience a quality product .

We are at an exciting juncture in the automation Journey here at Wazoku and the successful candidate will be the key person influencing how and when we get to our destination.

  • Perform regular analysis of test runs - triaging failures, performing root cause analysis, driving resolutions for script or product issues
  • Reporting and flagging issues to the relevant stakeholders and taking the lead to ensure that test runs are moving towards a full pass rate as quickly as possible
  • Work closely with the QA Manager and QA Lead to analyse our manual regression suite & create an automation coverage roadmap
  • Implement the automation of the manual regression tests
  • Assist the QA team in the implementation of the automation tests for new features
  • Collaborate closely with the QA and product teams to understand the priority of automation and coverage required
  • Drive the automation process within Wazoku - using available tools like Jira, Jenkins and Test Rail (Test Case Management tool)
  • Work with the QA Lead and QA team to help upskill those interested to write & maintain Automation Scripts
  • Update & maintenance of scripts as the product evolves through new features
  • Configure and maintain test environments & test data


  • Proven experience in setting up UI/API test frameworks
  • Understand CI/CD principles
  • Understands web development principles and well versed in request-response cycle.
  • Understands unit, integration and E2E testing principles.
  • Experience in devising, managing and implementing effective testing strategies
  • Strong experience with typical automation languages such as Python, JavaScript
  • Strong experience with Selenium
  • Familiarity with agile software development methodologies & tools
  • Knowledge of distributed version control systems such as Git
  • Experience upskilling others in Automation implementation

**Salary range £50,000 - £60,000 depending on experience**
