Inno Tech Start Up Competition

Calling all technology entrepreneurs looking for investment!

The Inno-Tech Start Up Competition has launched to connect technology entrepreneurs with potential investors. The competition is hosted by the Inno-Tech Summit, an event for entrepreneurs on innovation in the hi-tech industries.

The competition gives start ups the opportunity to pitch their idea to a panel of high profile investors and get the investment they need to build their business. All technology businesses are invited to enter the competition, particularly those that are at the seed or venture stage. Entries can be submitted on the Start Up Competition website, the deadline for entry is 26 March 2012. All entrants receive 50 free business cards from Moo and the winning entry will also receive a package of mentoring and support worth £5K from Innovation Warehouse.

Entries to the competition will be open to public vote via the Start Up Competition website. Five finalists will then pitch their business to a Grand Jury of prestigious technology venture capitalists, professors, and innovators at the Inno-Tech Summit for the opportunity to earn seed or venture funding. The Grand Jury of investors includes Adrian Reeve, Partner, Hamilton Bradshaw Venture Partners; Colin Watts, Investment Director, Oxford Capital Partners; Michael Pay, Director, EMC; David Easton, Bridges Ventures LLP; Rob Moffat, Principal, Balderton Capital; Ed Lascelles, Partner, Albion Ventures; James King, Founder, Find Invest Grow and Ivan Farneti, Partner, Doughty Hanson & Co.

The competition winner will be announced at the Inno-Tech Summit on 13 April 2012 at the Grand Connaught Rooms, London. The summit, organised by HULT International Business School’s Venture Capital club, will bring together the UK’s leading technology start ups, venture capitalists and technology angels to discuss, network, and learn about the latest developments across the technology sector. Find out more and buy your tickets on the Inno-Tech Summit website.
