3… Make Ideas Happen
Idea Spotlight focuses on outcomes. It provides the tools to help filter the ideas being submitted into the system and helps you choose the ideas that best fit your business needs. Idea Spotlight helps the best ideas reach the right decision-maker, get signed off and reach implementation phase.
Moving ideas forward
All ideas need a decision-maker to move them forward. A decision-maker signs off an idea to move it from consultation to implementation phase and may then assign an owner, who are then responsible for taking the idea forward. Providing feedback to idea authors is an important step in the innovation process – whether their idea was successful or not.
Ranking provides a great indication of how engaged employees are with an idea and can be used to influence which ideas get approved. Personal ranks highlight top innovators and take into account their areas of expertise and interactions with successful ideas.
Keywords are linked to you as a result of the ideas you get involved with and link to the recommendation engine. They indicate the areas you have expertise in and the subjects on which you make decisions.
Give ideas a thumbs up or down with a single click. Get your favourite ideas recognised and implemented by voting them to the top..
To Do Lists
To do lists on your personalised dashboard detail ideas awaiting your input as a reviewer and decision-maker. At a glance you can see the idea title and how popular the idea is proving.
Trends & Metrics
Use the built-in analytics to understand how innovation works in your business. Find out which areas generate the most ideas, who your key contributors are, and at which stage ideas spend most of their time. Bespoke data analysis is also available.
Your digest feed on your dashboard displays all the ideas created from the people and keywords you follow. View your digest in summary or click on individual ideas for more information.
Bookmark ideas by highlighting them as favourites and receive activity updates in your idea feed.
Idea Spotlight makes idea management easy with a clearly defined idea life cycle. Ideas go through several stages from concept to consultation, conclusion and, finally, completion.
Every idea comes with a full audit trail of activity including comments, edits, votes, and questions.
Assignment & Volunteering
Once approved, ideas are assigned owners who become responsible for developing them. Decision-makers can choose owners from a group of volunteers or pick anyone within the organisation. Anyone can volunteer to be an owner at any stage of the idea life cycle.
