Simon Hill – Managing Director & Co-founder
Simon is an experienced business professional with proven track record. He has a strong background in SaaS B2B start-ups, having previously been Director Business Development with Huddle where he was involved from the early days and helped to grow that business through two funding rounds in excess of $15m through the signing of key strategic partnership deals with Hewlett Packard, InterCall, Orange, LinkedIn, AVG, Itochu and many others, giving Huddle a global reach to hundreds of millions of potential customers. Simon brings this experience to Wazoku which will service a very similar target customer base and is looking to replicate the incredible success at Huddle. Prior to Huddle, Simon spent 6 years as a Strategy Consultant with PwC and Deloitte, working with clients such as Seiko-Epson, Guardian and T-Mobile on strategy, innovation and C-level advisory projects.
Kathryn Abram – Customer Success
With a background in marketing and communications in the not for profit sector, I’m a recent arrival to the wonderful world of start-ups. As Head of Customer Success I work with our customers to ensure they get the most out of our platform. I help our clients get up and running and provide ongoing account management support. I also manage our support portal which provides user help and ticketing.
I spend my spare time blogging and exploring London as my alter ego, Trip Stylist. As Trip Stylist I create self-guided London walks so spend my weekends wandering the streets of London looking for new places to go and checking out cafes, bars and restaurants (tough job!).
Nopadon Wongpakdee – Online Marketing
I’m a strategic internet marketing consultant with 15 years’ online experience in both large corporations and start-up environments. I’ve worked with several start-ups as an adviser and consultant in the US and UK.
I’ve got a very strong background in user acquisition, inbound, & SEO . When I’m not busy thinking about Wazoku, I’m keep busy with my Muay Thai Blog, and running tours to Thailand for Thai Boxing enthusiasts.
Miguel Manzano Palomino – Developer
Miguel is a Computer Engineer graduated in Malaga University. After three years working in Spain developing the back-end and front-end for web applications he moved to the U.K. In 2012 he joined the Wazoku team as a programmer. Now he is discovering the amazing experience of working for a pure start-up.
Besides IT, Miguel loves traveling and discovering new spots around London.
Rosemarie Diegnan – Chief Strategy and Product Officer
Rosemarie leads Wazoku’s product and marketing strategy, planning and development for the Idea Spotlight platform.
Rosemarie has 13 years experience providing product management services to a wide range of B2B software companies with an emphasis in human resource management, CRM systems and B2B exchanges for the recruiting industry.
When not thinking about Wazoku, she’s busy travelling about Europe and beyond.
Andrea Crotti – Developer
Andrea is an Italian software developer and he came to Wazoku just in time for the Christmas lunch. After studying in Italy and Germany, he landed in the UK following his passion for Python.
He loves to write clean code on his clicky mechanical keyboard,following the principles of laziness driven development. When he’s not typing furiously in front of a monitor he enjoys inline skating, dancing and basically any other sport.
Sunitha Puthan – QA Engineer
I am a graduate from India in Information Technology from Jawaharlal Technological University. Initially I worked as a manual tester and later I get an opportunity to work with automated tools like Selenium.
Testing has become my long term career and commitment. Wazoku is my first start up company, and the first company to give me a warm welcome in the UK. Apart from learning Python, I like cooking.
Alexi Pitharas – Innovation Consultant
I am a recent (or so I like to think) graduate of Chemistry from the University of Nottingham and have always been extremely passionate about the scientific method, technology and people. After a thoroughly enjoyable year in the retail sector, I have developed experience in sales/after sales, process improvement, supply chain management and more than anything enjoyed making lasting relationships with partners and clients. Wazoku has therefore been the perfect place to progress my professional career. I also enjoy sport, music, apps (more of an addiction) and travelling.
Julia Karl – Designer
Julia or Jules is Wazoku’s first in-house designer. After finishing her studies in Germany and the UK she joined the team to upgrade the company’s look and bring more colours into Wazoku’s life. In her free time she enjoys to work on her own illustrations or simply get lost somewhere in London.
Julia Collier – Marketing Associate
After graduating from the University of Sussex with a MSc in International Marketing, Julia joined Wazoku as a Marketing and Customer Success Associate. She has a background in international sales and international business. Julia moved back to the UK from Paris last year. She likes going to concerts, reading, writing, travelling, museums and work
Jon Landau – Chief Operating Officer
Jon is an experienced leader in high-growth business development, with a proven track record in directing Commercial Operations, Customer Service & Success strategies. Prior to joining Wazoku Jon was VP Customer Operations at Huddle (and their first employee) playing a key role in growing the business from seed-stage to 200+ staff across global offices, as well as becoming one of the UK’s biggest B2B tech success stories. His experience spans multiple sectors, working with a diverse range of customers such as Tesco, Kia, BBC, Centrica as well as local and national government organisations. In his spare time, Jon’s a keen golfer and watcher of football (the proper kind.)
Felipe Nobre – Front End Developer
Felipe is a Brazilian Front End/UI developer. After three years working in Milan as frontend developer, he moved to London and joined the Wazoku team. As a self taught developer, he is always learning and trying new technologies. When not building easy-to-use interfaces, you can find him in the gym or writing some songs and thoughts.
Felipe likes to code and think about new technological solutions for the real world, and of course, hates Internet Explorer
Victor Munoz – Python Developer
75% Telecommunications engineer, 25% mathematician, Victor started writing code for numerical simulations, and since then has developed software in practically anything, from embedded systems to distributed applications. Now he’s devoted to writing web applications, and his passion for Python brought him straight to Wazoku.
When he’s not coding, he likes books, music and hiking all over the world.
